Cookie Policy
Effective date: 1 May 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits and to store preferences and usage information.
We also use similar technologies including local storage and session storage where appropriate. References to "cookies" in this policy include these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies on autara.co for the following purposes:
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function. They enable core functionality such as session management, security, and access to protected areas. These cookies cannot be disabled.

| Session cookie | Maintains your login session | Session |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session |
Analytics cookies (consent required)
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how visitors use autara.co. Analytics cookies are only set after you give explicit consent via the cookie consent banner.

| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|--------|----------|---------|----------|
| ph_* | PostHog | Product analytics and session recording | Up to 1 year |
Preference cookies
These cookies remember your choices to personalise your experience (for example, whether you have dismissed the cookie consent banner).
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|--------|---------|----------|
| cookie_consent | Records your cookie consent decision | 1 year |
3. Analytics on the AIOS platform
On the AIOS platform at aios.autara.co, PostHog analytics events are associated with a pseudonymous UUID tied to your account session only. No name, email address, or contact details are sent to PostHog. This analytics processing is part of the service and is covered by the AIOS Data Processing Addendum rather than this Cookie Policy.
4. Third-party cookies
Cloudflare may set cookies on autara.co as part of its security and performance services. These are strictly necessary cookies that cannot be disabled. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
